Help! Keep deleting past calendar entries.

I'm still new to using an Ipaq and Activesync, but for some reason I'm not getting the hang of Activesync. I previously had a Palm device which used Hotsync, which wasn't nearly so frustrating. Here's my problems:

If I choose to sync my calendar, for example the last 2 weeks appointemnts and all future appointments, why are ALL my appointments PRIOR to the two week period deleted?! Logically, only the last 2 weeks and future appointments should be effected, right?

I try to backup my data fairly often, but still it's extremely annoying when this happens. Is there a user's guide to Activesync?

Specs:
Ipaq 3955
Pocket PC OS: Windows 2003
PC OS: Windows XP
Outlook 2002
Activesync 3.7.1

Thanks for any help.

Open ActiveSync. Click on Tools -> Options. Make sure Calendar is selected, then click on the Settings button. By default, AS only syncs the last 2 weeks appointments. You can change that to Syncronize All Appointments my clicking on the radio button.
Hope this helps.
