Active Sync connection problem

I have tried connecting my PPC to my computer using Active Sync, but every time I try to connect it, it connects for a second on the PPC and then the connection breaks, meanwhile on my PC, Active Sync says connecting, but nothing happens. I have tried re-installing Active Sync, checking unknow USB connectors, making sure Active Sync has USB connections checked as a possibility. I can't think of anything else! Please help! Thank you

Welcome to the site.

Have you tried soft resetting your device and trying again?

Was your cradle plugged in to yoiur PC when you installed AS? if so uninstall AS, unplug the cradle, reboot your PC, reinstall AS and follow the prompts (it will tell you when to plug in the cradle).
Regards

Rob

Thank you for the welcome and the help!
I have tried a soft reset as well as uninstalling AS and rebooting the PC. I will try again, maybe I missed a step, but I doubt it. Thank you so much again! Any other ideas let me know!

The problem come if you have your USB cradle plugged in before activsync tells you to do so. It s very important that the cradle not be plugged in until the setup tells you to plug it in.
