Multiple Contact lists?

Hey everyone I have a question.
I have a client with 10 iPaq's and they all sync with Exchange Server 2003
They have a global contact list with about 20000 contacts. They also want to have a personal contact list per ipaq.

Is this possible with the exchange server?

I know your question was a serious one but I can't get the image of a guy (or gal) with 10 iPAQs strapped to them and each with a different personal contact list. I can imagine the each day the succession of syncronization he/she must do if they truly have that many iPAQs and actually seriously use each one of them. I hope some here can give you an answer, but this might be beyond activesync's capabilities.

By client I am guessing he means as a company or organization. I cant imagine he is refering to an individual w/10 iPAQ's....

That would be a site though...would need a few belts I would imagine.

MS has a tool that allows you to sync multiple contact folders. I'm not sure if it works with Exchange Server or not. Here's the link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=EN

Another option would be to have a third party app like PI where you can categorize contacts. The personal contacts could reside on the server. You would use PI to filter them.

Wait! Does the resident contact manager do categories? I have no idea!

You're probably right now that I think about it. I was thinking client as in the singular, but client could refer to an organization too. I need more caffeine

Yes, The 'client' is actually a business.
There are 10 people in the office and there is a global contact list with over a 1000 of their firms clients and then they have their personal family members..

Person 1 doesnt need person 2- 10's family members numbers. That info should be private. All they need is the global list and their personal list. This should be achieved by multiple contact lists although, cant figure out a way to do it other than writing a program myself.

That Microsoft link looked like it would of worked but it wont work with Office 2k3, and this is what the client is using.

I appreciate all the responses, you would think that the world being so big that enough people would of had this problem for someone to create a fix.
