Unable to sync e-mail with attachments
Using active sync 3.7 (build 3083) and an hp4150 Any e-mail that comes in to me with an attachment cannot be synced. This happens regardless of whether the 'copy attachments to device' option is selected or not.

As a further issue my sent items folder does not sync at all. Even mail sent from the PPC does not end up in the sent items folder on the PPC but does end up in the outlook sent items.

Any help would be appreciated.

Robin

My 4155 started doing the same thing. The only way I found to get it working was a hard reset. I tried taking conversion off in AS, soft resetting, etc. Sorry I don't have anything better to recommend. I've read that it may be a corrupted mail database. If you do decide to hard reset, don't restore your mail databases from a backup.

Oh damn

I really don't want to hard reset and rebuild the PPC manually. It would be nice if the backup / restore system on active sync allowed you to select what items you wish backed up and restored.

Anyone know of any software that allows you to do this?

Thanks anyway

It's not in Active sync. I've found Sprite backup which looks as though it will do what I need (and more besides). I'll pluck up the courage to do a hard reset tomorrow!

Thanks for your help.

Having hard reset and restored without the mail folders the issue with mail not being synced when it has attachments is resolved.. Thanks Baker..

Still however, sent mail from the PPC does not appear in the PPC sent items folder. Any ideas?

Glad to here it is working. The longer I use my PPC the more I want it to do. That's what got me with the use of attachments.

Sent Mail: Open Inbox on the PPC. Tools. Options. Message Tab. Click Keep copy of sent mail in Sent Folder. If that doesn't work, then I'm at a loss.
