Regain Lost Com Ports on Activesync

I am getting so frustrated with activesync right now... This started a while ago when I was trying to bluetooth sync with activesync. I made a few screw-ups and somehow almost all of the com ports got removed from the dropdown list on activesync (it only shows com 1, 2 and 9 I think). I had everything going well, then my sd card decided to format itself for no reason?!?!?!!? which caused me to need to do a hard reset and reinstall everything from scratch (my backup was even on my sd card)...

When I re-added my pocket pc as a bluetooth device on my computer (winXP sp2), it assigned com port 10 as the incoming com port, which activesync does not support. Does anybody know how to regain the lost com ports so that I can sync with com port 4 or 5 or something lower than 10? (It was once possible, but now they are gone from the list).

Thanks

Update: I have finished rebuilding my ipaq (rx3115) and I have installed a very nice and very simple little program called MobSync (Freeware) which can sync any folder on the ppc to the pc, so I am syncing my SD card to my pc as a backup!
