I have an iPaq 3955. I can not get Activesynch to find the iPaq. I am currently running XP (without SP's installed) on the computer. I have installed Activesync 3.5 (no luck) and 3.8 (no luck).

I've tried connection via Com 1, USB, and IR. The computer will recognize the iPaq (via IR) but as I've stated, Activesynch doesn't connect.

Any ideas? I'm stuck!

Disable any firewalls. If you have ZA, stop it from loading at bootup. If that works, check out Chris De Herrera's ActiveSync Troubleshooting Guide. There are suggestions for getting AS to play nice with various firewalls.
