Active Sync error message
I have an Ipaq 3955 and have tried to active sync but get the following message: The connection failed due to missing server information or user credentials. It also gives an error code: DEV_9. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Welcome to the site!
Not seen that error message. Have you tried uninstalling Activeync and resinstalling version 3.8? Make sure you even delete any remaining files in the Program Files/Microsoft Activesync folder of your desktop. | ||||||||

Check Active sync options on you pc. Click options>Sync options tab. At he bottom make sure the box for Enable suncronizations with a sever is not checked, unless of course you are syncing with a server. If so verify the servier settings are correct and you can communicate with the server.
