Converting from Palm to IPAQ question
Hello and thanks in advance for your help. I just purchased an IPAQ 3715. I've been using a palm pilot (m515) for a number of years, so I have quite a few contacts and appointments in my calendar I'd like to transfer to my new IPAQ. How can I do this?

The export file for the calendar is a .dba file and the address file is a .aba file.

Thanks

Hi ram. Welcome to the forum. Was/is your m515 sync'd with a desktop application like Outlook? If so, when you install ActiveSync and establish a partnership with your iPAQ, you will have the option of syncing (loading) all your contacts and appointments to the iPAQ from your desktop.

I always synched with the palm desk top, rather than outlook. From what I've been reading it sounds like I really need to figure out how to synch outlook and my palm together first. Then It's an easy task to synch my new IPAQ with Outlook. Does this sound like the best way to go?

Thanks.

ram, that is exactly what I did, download a trial of pocket mirror or intellisync. Than just sync over your contacts from Palm Desktop to outlook and your good to go.
