ActiveSync 3.8 makes WXP crash
HELP NEEDED:
While trying to install ActiveSync 3.8 I run into a problem: As soon as the PC has installed all necessary files and tries to make a first time connection (even before I have connected the USB cable to my IPAQ Cradle), my system reboots automatically. When reboot has completed Windows XP tells me it has recovered from an important failure. Does anyone know what the problem might be. I do not have these problems at all at my laptop, on which I use W2000. All help is highly appreciated WFPM

Welcome to the site.
This is the first I have heard of this problem. Try completely uninstalling it completely, including removal of the folder in the program files folder. Then start with a fresh install. Once it installs, restart the coputer before you try to sync.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried this, but now it even reboots the computer before starting to make its first connection... When executing the installation file it stops for a while at 92% of the installation. Then after about 20 sec the installation continues and ends as it should. After that it tries to connect and the crash takes place... Any further ideas? WFPM
