ActiveSync Why has it taken so long for this category?

Active Synch Inbox and POP3 Inbox not communicating

I have a 6315, which retrieves mail. This mail is placed in the pop3 Inbox, which is different than the MMS Inbox, the SMS Inbox, or the Active Synch Inbox.

The Active Synch Inbox on my device synchs with Outlook on my desktop machine.

My problem:
The device downloads my email and places it in the pop3 Inbox. I read it, delete some, reply to some.

None of this information is conveyed to my desktop computer.

How do I manage the two Inboxes? I have been told by t-mobile that I should not use the Active Synch Inbox on the device, but that is precisely the purpose of the Active Synch Inbox on the device in the first place: so that I can work on the device and have it transferred to Outlook on my desktop.
