"No Partnership"

Hi, what I am trying to do is synchronize one computer at home and one computer in the office with my PPC. I can' t do it. I am frustrated. I have ActiveSync 3.8 downloaded on all computers. Home is running Office 2000 with Outlook and office is Outlook 2002 which came with HP disk.

I thought this would be pretty easy, since I had no problem setting up the unit at home. Here is what happened.

I had a palm PDA on my laptop. I installed Office and Outlook to that computer. I used Intellisync to transfer Palm data to Outlook. Then I transferred the Outlook info to the iPAQ. This was so successfull that I setup our home office computer to sync with the iPAQ and installed this as a 2 computer partnership. No problem. It works beatifully. However, as I really want to allow my office people access to my schedule, make appointment changes and download into the iPAQ the laptop is not really helpful as the second computer.

SO, I went to the office with disks in hand and loaded Outlook 2002 from the iPAQ and ActiveSync. At first, there seemed to be a legitimate try by the computer to link with the PDA. In fact, I believe I received a message asking me if I wished to delete one of the two computers in the partnership and replace it with the office computer. That is about as far as that comuter got. Now, it fails to recognize the iPAQ if I connect it, giving a USB explanation that it is an unrecognizable device. So, I went to another computer in my office and installed OUtlook and Activesync similarly. This seemed to have a successfull installation.

It will not link with the unit. When I plug the sync cord into the iPAQ, it gives about 3 dull beeps then says connected for about 15 sec. However, that connection does not last and I end up with the ActiveSync window displaying a No Partnership heading.

I really want to learn more about this and what I can do in order to allow me to synchronize the iPAQ with office and home with those two computers. By the way, I am NOT downloading email. I read it off the iPAQ and am not interested in this feature.

When I get home, I plug the PPC into the home system and it syncs just fine. Please help. Thanks.
