ActiveSynch 2 iPaq to one PC
I have two 3835 iPaqs. One I activesynch to Outlook. The second I do not want to synch to Outlook but I need a way to backup the calendar, tasks, contacts, notes, files etc. I use windows XP on the PC. What software do I need if any to sync the 2nd iPaq independent of the first?
thanks, Russ | |||

Welcome to the site I have deleted the double post - in accordance with the site rules - which don't allow cross postings. You can sync to two iPaqs with no problems - just make sure they have different names. Then just connect the second iPaq. As you do not want the information in the two iPaqs to be merged (as that is what would happen if you just sync the two iPaqs). You have two options: 1) You can set-up additional users in XP to separate them (you then choose which 'User' you open when XP starts) - easiest to set-up, but slightly more annoying going foward. 2) Set-up a separate user account in Outlook - you then choose which account is open when you sync. Harder to set-up, easier to select account going forward (as you don't need to log-out of XP). However it is also easier to accidently sync to the wrong account. Your choice ![]() | |||||
