Upgrading 3835 to 4705 or x50v

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger and upgrade my existing 3835 to a 4705 or x50v (my selection woes are the subject for another thread :-)). I've backed up my 3835 using AS, and when I get my new unit, I plan to delete the partnership then creat a new partnership with the new unit. Should I then retore the backup to restore all my data files which namely are word and pdf docs, ListPro data file. Is there anything else I should do before I proceed or words of caution? Thanks.

You cannot retore from one unit to another.

I am assuming your data files are in your Pocket_PC My Documents Directory if so they will also be on your PC and you can copy them into the new MyDocs created when you create the new partnership.

Thank you Rob. Yes, I do store my data files in the Pocket_PC My Documents folder, sorry for not including that important piece of information.
