How to Turn Active Sync Off?

On a 3115 , how can I turn Active Sync off?

I am told to run a certain GPS mapping program, I need to turn off everything including Active Sync so that it will run stable for 12 hours or more.

Welcome to the site,

I'll assume you're not trying to use the GPS while connected to a PC. So if that's the case, Active sync won't be running on your PPC unless your connected to a PC remotely or through a USB/cradle.

Have you tried and received an error message or is this from instructions before trying?

This is when it not connected to my PC. In fact it is in my tractor doing field mapping.

When I call up the active tasks and attempt to shut it down , it gives me a message that this task can not be closed.

I can't figure out any other way to close it.

Active sync isn't on after a soft reset until you sync up...then you can't shut it off.

Soft reset then don't sync seems to work so far.
