Help me Debug this Sync Error...

"Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to logon to the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and synchronize again. if the problem persist, contact your network administrator.'

Ever come across such error msgs? I've been sync-ing ever since, didn't do that for a few days & got this weird error.

Tried uninstall & reinstall activesync, also tried ending wcescomm.exe from task manager & restarting activesync thereafter.

Any other tricks?
Wondering if its an error of hardware connection, activesync or microsoft outlook?

btw, this affects calender, contacts, tasks, notes only, not the rest such as favourites etc.

best regards~ thanks in advance!

Are you syncing with a Networked PC? is this option checked in AS?

Have you tried creating a new partnership.

When not connected open ActriveSync on your desktop and go to Files>Delete Partnership> (save the files when it asks).

Then soft reset you iPaq and place it in the cradle.

nopes. not syncing with a network PC. syncing the standard usb cradle method~!
I've been syncing with my desktop for ages without any problems. this happened suddenly...

the partnership does not even appear. thus that doesn't even allow me to delete an old one or create a new partnership either. weird.

the problem has to do with microsoft outlook on my desktop and my pda trying to get access to sync with outlook on my desktop. but i am clueless wats wrong~

When you say the partnership doesn't appear did you try what I said?

If the problem is to do with Outlook, try this:

Open Control Panel>Add Remove Programs> Find Outlook (or office if you have that installed)> Choose Change> Repair

Let us know how you get on.

At last!!!
Finally a big relieved experienced~
I think my problem had to do with usb devices stacks...
I reinstalled my MSI BT dongle usb device driver & everything else worked fine once more.
Thanks for all your concerns & replies
And once again,
I am a happy man! with a healthy ipaq~
