How to tell which version of ActiveSync is on 4700
Hi All
How can I tell which version of activesync is runnign on my iPAQ 4700 please.? I am attempting to sync my 4700 with my work based PC via IR and i am getting an 'Incompatability' message on the iPAQ. "An incompatible version of MS ActiveSync has been detected.... etc etc" I have upgraded activesync on PC to 3.71 but this is obviously not the same as that version on my iPAQ. How can I detemine which version I haveo n 4700 please. Thanks | ||||

I don't know of any way to see on the HX4700 what version of AS is loaded on it; as swhoutx035 says, the latest version is 3.8, so I would be tempted to load that onto the PC & then try again...

AS on your iPaq doesn't really have a 'version' as such - it is just the one that comes with either WM2002, WM2003 or in your case WM2003se.
Have you tried using AS v3.8? | |||||
