Always syncing files/inbox
All of a sudden today - activesync (3.8) decided to always sync my files and inbox stuff with my rx3715.
By that I mean that the dialog box "Overwrite/Combine/Dont sync" pops up just for those two items every time I connect my Ipaq. Any ideas what I might have done? Cheers

soft-reset, and see if it corrects the problem
If it doesn't then overwrite one or the other...meaning overwrite the file on the PPC, or on the desktop PC. The files in question have been changed on both the desktop, and on the PPC...or at least your iPAQ thinks so ![]()

What options?
I have not seen any options that would cause just files and inbox to show this behaviour. The only options I can find would affect everything. The individual options for files/inbox only control how much information is exchanged.

I was referring to Tools/Options/Sync Options, then tick an individual component & click on Settings.
I don't know what your settings should be, as I use Intellisync; sorry if this does nothing to help you solve your problem.

Thanks anyway - but those settings have not changed. And as I said I cannot see any way of changing the settings to make it behave the way it is.
As it stands, it appears that either the ipaq or activesync beleives that the items have changed on both sides and/or the date stamps are wrong somehow. Wierd - and extremely frustrating. I might end up having to hard reet the IPAQ and start again at this rate ![]()

Try moving all the files out of the directory on your PC, to another directory, and syncing. This should happen without problems.
Then gradually move the files back into the directory until you find the one causing the issue. (You can basically do the same with the inbox as weel).
