ActiveSync Causes Add/Remove Programs

Recently I was attempting to install AutoRoute 2005 on my PC and decided to try out the Pocket Streets component included.

Midway thru I had a change of heart and foolishly decided to cancel the installation.

All seemed well, until I realised that everytime I put my iPAQ in the cradle to sync that the Add/Remove screen keeps appearing,

Is there any way I can stop this from happening?

Cheers,
Thanks & regards,
Mojo

It's happend to me before also. Try the following on your PC.

Go to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync directory. Find the sub-dir (folder) for either Pocket Streets or Autoroute 2005. Delete the folder from your PC. Don't worry, these folders are installed when you run setup.exe from your downloaded or CD component.

HTH!

There may be a temp file looking for the continuing installation.
Look in the start-up folder on BOTH your iPAQ and your PC.
You should find the culprit hiding in there

Checked the Start-up folder in Windows and on my iPAQ. Nothing there that appears to be suspect.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers,
Thanks & regards,

Can't find either of the folders mentioned. Any other ideas?

Hello, I'm a brand new member, and I found your thread by searching for the same problem. Here's the link that worked for me:
