Calander won't sync on iPAQ

Running Windows XP Pro, MS Outlook V11.0, ActiveSync V3.7.1, iPAQ 3955. All software updates are current. I have used this system for several years without a single problem. Recently, I found that after sync, entries made on the calendar in Outlook do not appear in the iPAQ. In contrast, entires made to the calendar in iPAQ appear in Outlook after sync. Older calendar entries from several months back still appear in the iPAQ. I used the "Reset to earlier date" function in system tools to reset the computer to a time period during which the calander was working correctly, but it makes no difference. Have checked and rechecked all options, done soft restarts on iPAQ, removed and reinstalled the most current versions of software for ActiveSync and iPAQ. Nothing changes. Any help wold be appreciated.

Hi Hands, just checking, you don't have any filters/categories set up in ActiveSync do you?
