Active Sync Issues and App Install question
I am trying to copy a few apps/themes that I have downloaded on my laptop to my rx3115. I am using the activesync as a guest user (just to download/transfer a few items).
1---When I open up ActiveSync on my laptop and click on "Tools" - all of the items are grayed out and I have no access to them. Is this because I uninstalled and re-installed ActiveSync? I did this because when I attempted to transfer the files from my laptop to the rx3115 it would not create a Syncronized Files folder on my desktop (as the pop-up box said it would). 2---I took the themes that I downloaded and dragged and dropped them onto the iPAQ and they work fine, but the 3 apps I put on the iPAQ would not open when I clicked on them - how do you open and install these on the iPAQ -when I dragged and dropped them, it said that they were being converted, so I assumed they would work fine. The files are:Neotilessetup, patiencesetup and rainyday theme (zip folder) - all from Handango. Can you please tell me how to make these work (they are all compatible with the rx3115). Thank you for your help and please bear with me - I have been using my desktop, laptop, Linksys router and Handspring Visor (and syncing it for years) and have a pretty good handle on computer tech issues and hardware/software; but I am a little confused with the above.

You're supposed to unzip those files then place the files in a "My Documents" folder in the iPAQ. The proper theme file has the extension .tsk
Also, when you only have a guest partnership, a lot of the functions on ActiveSync don't work such as the synchronized files folder. I would suggest setting up a partnership.

If you don't want to set-up a partnership, you can unzip the files to your desktop, and then browse to your >Documents folder on your iPAQ, using any method available...like open up my computer (on desktop PC) and look for Mobile Device, or explore using ActiveSync, etc.
Just put the .tsk files in the My Documents folder and you'll be all set.

Thank you!
Thank you both for your help. Once I reinstalled ActiveSync - it worked great!
