Calendar / Contacts stopped syncing
Have been syncing virtually every day for the last few months my hx4700 to my pc using ActiveSync v3.8 and outlook 2002 on win XP.
Now since yesterday I get "Attention required" for the calendar and contacts and when I click "Resolve Items" it just says "one or more information types cannot be synchronized. Disconnect and reconnect" My files and favourites continue to sync without issue. I have re connected several times and that makes no difference. I've reinstalled ActiveSync which made no difference. I've deleted and recreated the partnership which made no difference. I've restored my hx4700 from a backup I took last week which I know synched without issues and that made no difference, I still can't sync and get the same error ![]() I am struggling for ideas why this has suddenly started happening, anyone have any poiters? Hi
I'm having a similar problem (ActiveSync 3.1 connected to my 3650): it won't sync calendar, contacts and tasks. Can you enlighten me as to how to check if DCOM is running, and how to start it if it's not? This is esp. urgent as I seem to have lost all my contacts after keeping the 3650 off for a long period of time (why does this happen, given that the contacts are supposed to be kept in flash?) thanks, Sy

PS I forgot to add that I'm running XP and that ActiveSync used to work fine, then suddenly these problems appeared...
could it be due to installation of other SW, virus scan (I use Norton), etc... thanks, Sy

sybernut, first of all I would download a later version of A/S, as this may fix your problem.

Same Problem, for 2 months now
I have tried hard resest, soft reset, remove and reinstall Activesync, no luck. I had some one look at my computer and noted there was no plugin in Outlook
for communications. Is there supposed to be a plugin to allow coms? If so where do I get one to reinstall? Thanks Jordan

can't be
impossible, after all it syncs everything else including favorites.
but i will check this possibility... anyway when you reinstall the outlook... in full installation mode you supposed to get everything. here is the link to the outlook 2002 add-in for sync of contacts http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/t...2bcom%2badd-in didn't check it yet amit Quote:

Thanks Amit
I reinstalled the add-in sync but no luck. Is there something I must do to enable the synch?

it does not meeans you cannot sync with another computer !!! the problem is obviously with the outlook or the whole office package... but i tried the un-syncing ppc on a different computer and it works. so its nothing to do with the ppc

Let me add to the general confusion on this topic.
I make use of two windows profiles, each with a different default Outlook profile. One is an office profile, and one is a client profile. As I currently spend most of my time at the client I wish to sync with my client Outlook calendar and contacts. While the mail sync works fine, the calendar and contacts will not sync! I get the standard "Attention Required" Message. However everything works perfectly if I try my office profile. I have surfed the last three hours trying to find resolution. I have tried every trick in the book.... no luck!! Anyone with any new ideas, please help!! This is crazy!!! Noone seems to know what the issue is... even though a number of solutions get thrown around.... and none have worked for me!

i believe the only way to eliminate the problem is to completely remove the whole office and reinstall the outlook however i cannot remove it because my customer lost his cd and microsoft made the fu***ing thing imposiible to remove without the CD. so i am stuck and the only solution (formating the PC) is impossible due to the nature of the computer itself.
Damn .... i am out of ideas !!! Quote:
