mail/contacts without active sync
greetings all,

Ive recently purchased a RX 3400 for my missus only to find out her employer wont allow the install of active sync. Question is- is there any way of placing the outlook .pst file onto an SD card and pointing the ppc to that file located on the SD card? (not so much worried about inbox, moreso contacts and calender/appointments)

I realise i can get outlook to store (email) attachments on the external card, but this isnt the dilemma, its more a need to bypass the install of activesync but still have the benefit of upto date appointments etc (what i consider to be the best feature of ppc's)

thanks in advance, and apologies if i havent found this topic here.

Does her boss just not like activesync or can she not download any software? I don't know of any way to sync with outlook without some form of software installed to the computer.
Here are some other syncing titles that my be options if the boss will allow other software:

Best of luck,

If you have access to the .pst file from Outlook, then I'd assume that you have a PC at home with Outlook installed. Why not just sync at home?
You cannot have the iPAQ "look" for the .pst file on a SD card (or any memory card).
The iPAQ wouldn't know what to do with the .pst file as Outlook isn't technically installed on the iPAQ to begin with, and the format for the Outlook files are different as well.

And welcome to the forums
