Problem: Sync Status is on the Device

Sync Status is on the Device - Problem Solved!

If your AS gives you this message (Sync Status is on the Device), go to tools in the active sync window and select options. Then switch to "Server" tab and configure. In the "Sync these items" window UNCHECK troublesome categories. It might take more than one time but keep at it.
