ActiveSync error code 8501004

Hi I am new to forums. I also have a new iPAQ rx 1950 and find it very frustrating that I get an error message when I try to synchronise mail and calendar from Outlook (Office 2003 Basic Edition) on my PC . Active Sync 4.1 (I think) is installed. I have no problem with notes as they synchronise well. The whole point of the PDA is to help me organise my calendar!! Can somebody please help me!! I contacted microsoft but they sayit is not their problem!

Hi, Sukkelsiek, welcome to the forum - sorry to hear you're having problems, but don't despair, as everyone has problems at some point or other.

So that we can help you better, can you describe in more details the steps that you are taking, & at what point the error occurs (e.g I place the PPC in the cradle, I see the green circle turning, I get the message.... etc).

Don't worry, we'll soon have it sorted for you!

Thank you. OK. I connect with the USB cable, the green circle turns, looks like evdrything is going fien and then it stops with a red exclamation mark. When I click on that I get the error message coe85010014. I have reinstalled OUtlook but it does not help.
I apologise for taking so long to reply.
I have subsequently deleted and reinstalled Microsoft office 2003 Basic and my problem seems to be solved. Thanks for the interest.
