I am using HP Hx2795 with WM 5 and activesync 4.1, and was syncing with both work and home computers with a single ppc. I had a separate named partnership on both computers (at least I think I did).
I was having a problem with handbase sync conduit, and kept getting an error message when trying to upgrade. The tech support guy said that it was a partnership problem.

So I went into my home computer registry file and searched for every reference to the home activesync partnerhship name. There seemed to be a second partnerhship (they both had numbers) and I thought this might have been the problem. I thought perhaps it was a remnant of an old partnerhship that did not get deleted properly. (it did not have the name of the home partnership). I deleted every reference to it, but then I went to work today, and for some reason my work computer now is renamed as the same thing as my home partnership.

I only sync the handbase files with work and therefore it does not really even use activesync? If I turn off all the other activesync syncing at work and delete the new "My documents" folder that was created today, will this likely cause any problems. (meaning if file syncing is off, and I then delete the folder, will the folder still stay on my ppc and my HOME desktop, even if it is not at work? Are there any other easy solutions to this problem?

I was wondering, if I delete the WORK partnership using activesync (even though it is named the same as my home partnership) and create a new work partnerhsip, will my home partnership still be the same?

If I delete both home and work partnerships, and create new partnerhships in both places, will that fix any problems? (will I lose any data or files?)

any thoughts would be appreciated......
