You did a restore of what? Your PDA? If so, was the restore file kind of old? I did this a few weeks ago, restoring from a file that was a few days old, but I had installed several different programs, deleted a few programs, etc. etc. I ran into problems just as you describe. I performed a hard reset and that solved the problem, but I was planning to do that anyway, so it actually moved it up a few days.
If you don't want to hard reset your device, I think I would delete my partnership and recreate the partnership. Then when you synch for the first time, ActiveSync will give you a message about all the different data between the two devices (your PDA and our desktop), with 3 choices. Assuming your desktop PIM data is up-to-date, select the choice to overwrite all the PDA data with the desktop data.
