I've only updated to active sync 3.8 to try to fix the fact that add/remove window pops up but then vanishes.

I've unistalled and reinstalled active sync and still nothing.

I'm unable to add anything to my Dell Axim x5. The add/remove window comes up (very quickly) but then vanishes.

ANY help would be just great!

Wow! I can't believe it - I figured this out on my own. I have McAfee security running on my system. I disabled everything and now Add/Remove works! Ta-Da!

Thanks for posting back with your findings... virus protection and firewall software are indeed culprits in many of the AS issues...

You could still always remove software directly from Axim's add/remove.
A.S. was also crippled by Zone ALarm, so it is more likely because of Firewall/Worm protection, rather than virusscan software.
