unresolved items-inbox

For some odd reason, my hx4700 w/WM2003SE and Active Sync 3.8 is having problems syncing my inbox. The problems is there are 5 emails unresolved, and they will never resolve. I have even taken off inbox sync completely, and this makes no difference. Ideas anyone?

I've had similar probelms with AC and resolved issues. What works for me sometimes is to sync the PPC, on the desktop AC window click Options and unselect the item that I'm having a problem with. Disconnect the PPC from the computer then resync the PPC without the Inbox option selected, then while still connected, go back into Options and reselect Inbox to sync it up.

Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I give up and just delete the whole PPC profile from AC then resync it completely. AC is a pretty buggy and screwed up program, IMHO. So this stuff can get FUBAR with no screw up on your part. Chalk it up to Microsoft.

Unfortunately that did not work, but thank you. I'm really ticked because I just did a hard reset not too long ago and it's like there's a bug or something. Just after the hard reset, I didn't have this problem. I'm sure I could do another hard reset, but that doesn't seem worth it. Other items in my inbox are syncing....any other ideas?

Try deleting your ActiveSync partnership and setting up a new partnership:

Do not cradle your PDA to your PC. Open up ActiveSync on your PC, select File > Delete Partnership. If you are prompted to delete your My Documents folder, select NO.

Then re-create the partnership. Select File > Get Connected > let the Wizard take you through the steps to set up a new Partnership with your PDA.

When you synch for the first time, ActiveSync will recognize that there is already data on your PDA and ask you how you wish to proceed. It will give you three choices. Choose whichever one suits you. It is likely when it synchs your My Documents folder that many items there will be unresolved. So I recommend you synch this folder in stages:

Copy the My documents folder in its entirety to a temporary subdirectory on your PC. Then move one item/folder into the My Documents folder that will sync. Synch, then move another item/folder into the My Documents folder, synch, proceed in this fashion until all items have been synched.
