Active Sync "Unresoved items"
Need help! Spent hours trying to figure out the problem.
Recently I upgraded to a new computer. Everything works great, as did with my last computer except to sync the Callender items on the new computer. There is no problem to sync the callender items from the desktop to the PDA. Only a problem when I input and sync the information from my PDA to the desktop (Everthing else will sync either way no problem "contacts, notes, task, files, etc.). When I press okay to resolve the item here is what comes up. "The following event cannot be synchronized because Microsoft Outlook information is being used by another program. Close all other programs on your desktop computer and sychronize again. If the problem persists, restart your desktop computer." I feel like I done it all. I even reformated the computer. Any suggestions would be great! I'm not sure if there my be conflicts with XP Media. My last computer had XP Pro.

This message suggests that the problem lies on (on within) your PC. Check that you have no other programs running on your PC, and also check that you have nothing running in you System Tray that might be involved with Outlook or MS Office.
If, after all of this, it still doesn't work, then it may be to do with the way that the O/S is using Outlook - have you looked on Microsoft's site to see if there's anything there about this?

I made sure I had all the programs in the system tray closed, even Mcafee. It still has the same issue. It's wierd that its only the Callender Sync that's effected and when it comes from the PDA. When I searched Microsoft, I could only find a suggestion to upgrade to 4.1 (that's what I'm using).
Any Suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Deleting the Partnership makes since.
How do you delete the partnership. When I open AS and click on file it show's "delete partnership", but it doesn't allow you to select it. (it shows up in the light grey writing).

You can only delete the partnership when your PDA is not attached to your PC. So remove your PDA form the cradle, open up ActiveSync, select File and now you should be able to delete the partnership.
When you set the partnership back up, do not cradle your PDA until you are prompted to do so. Julie

Glad you got it sorted
Of course we're smart - we were trained by the best (i.e. other posters on this site) ; when you've played with your PPC for a while then you, too, will be one of the smart ones, and be helping others. That's what makes this site so good![]()
