Im new to the board and im also new to smartphones. I have learned a lot though from perusing this site and from trial and error with the phone. At first I hated the i930 but as I learn more about it, I like it better.

Well im trying to get the phone and activesync 3.8 to work with our exchange server. It sync’s flawless with the desktop but not with the server and I want it to get live wireless information. The message I used to get was internet-7. This appears to be a name issue so I inserted the server’s ip address and now I get error message internet-55. After looking that up I found it has to do with the a server certificate that needs to be installed on the device. So I drag the server cert to the laptop that activesync 3.8 resides on. Then I browse to the desktop from the activesync file window, double click and it appears to install. It actually says “server certificate installed on machine”. Im just not sure its actually installed on the phone. I explore the phone through “my computer” and don’t see it in there. I also still get the same error message.
Im thinking of installing "AS 4.2" and see how that works but i could use some input.
Sorry for the long description but I want you all to know how I got to this point in case my mistake is one off these.

I would probably talk to your IT Dept. first, they should be able to get you up and running. failing that an upgrade to AS4.2 would be a great idea.

Yeah ill definitely try the upgrade first thing. As for the “IT dept”..lol
It’s a weird situation and im the IT guy that has to do this for the owner. The other IT guy isn’t going to help; he’s 100% against it.
I am hoping to get this one up and running and then use it as a mold for a few more in the future.
