File Conversion Error
I am getting a dialog saying the file ndows failed to convert and I should use MS Paint to fix the file so it will convert.
The problem I have searched both the PDA and computer (including hidden and system files) and no such file exists anywhere. I attached the dialog for reference. Anybody else seen this error?

are you trying to move a file to/from the device? if so, what kind of file is it? if not, do you have activesync set up to sync a specific file or folder? please give more info if you can

what are you using active sync to sync? are you using 3rd party software that relies on activesync to update a file or database?

No, not third party software running on AS. Pretty much the standard stuff. I even tried removing the partnership and recreateing a new one. Same problem

well your doing what i would suggest. did you delete the partnerships on your device or just within activesync on the pc?
just a thought, chec your event viewer, maybe itll have some usefull information about this issue (right click on my computer, click manage, select eventviewer andbrowse through errors to see if you can narrow the issue down. this is a tough one, casue its hard to know whats on your device and you machine. have you recently installed anything to the device? sorry im not really being of much help try a search on your computer and on your device for the file "ndows" and see if you can find anything that way. i would also run jv16 powertools and run the registry cleaner. delete everything from C:\Temp, C:\Windows\temp, and C:\Documents and Settings\<your user>\Local Settings\Temp just to run a generic cleaning of the system...

Not that this will help much, but my guess is that the error message is picking up what it thinks is the filename 'ndows', but it isn't actually the filename (if that makes sense!).
Should it be 'windows', maybe? - I think the error message is picking up characters from where it expects a filename to be, hence the 'ndows'.
