https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmob...ivesync45.mspx
Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 Beta 2 is a new software release for Windows Mobile powered devices. ActiveSync provides a great synchronization experience with Windows-powered PCs and Microsoft Outlook.
Note: This is beta code and should not be used in a production environment or on a primary computer in the home. This beta is intended for developers, IT professionals, and technology experts to continue or begin their testing of Microsoft ActiveSync and Windows Mobile powered devices. Before you decide to use this beta, you should feel comfortable with installing operating systems, updating drivers, and general PC troubleshooting. Some risks of using beta software include hardware and software incompatibility and system instability. If you have concerns about installing this beta software on your computer, we encourage you to obtain the current version, Microsoft ActiveSync 4.2.
...
Note: Microsoft ActiveSync works only with Windows XP or earlier. If you have Windows Vista, your synchronization settings will be managed through Windows Mobile Device Center. Windows Mobile Device Center is available through Windows Update and the Windows Mobile Device Center page.
