Are there any known issues with sync-ing a wm5 device these days.
My hp 4705 will sync with my desktop with only the usual issues.
My computer see's my MDA and it will charge it but it wont sync. It wont set up a partnership. My Firewall and anti-virus are off.

All I really want to sync is onenote mobile on the phone and phatnotes on both machines. But it seems all the third party apps use active sync to make the connection.

Why cant MS just make a fool proof sync-ing solution.

Have you tried the usual, soft reset the MDA, reboot the PC, reinstall ActiveSync, delete and setup new partnership?

Here is the solution

The USB Cable that came with the phone will charge it, but it wont sync
The USB Cable that came with my Pioneer Inno will sync my MDA
