Question Speeding up my sync on x51v

anyway to speed up looking for changes when trying to active sync. I don't use much on ppc and it takes forever to sync.

Fun ActiveSync experiements: Uncheck all services the wheal still spins for a very long time saying it is looking for changes. Now that tells me that it is not the data that is the problem. It is the non-data that is the problem! The program is slow and buggy. There are alternatives for about $60 a pop. They will sync your Outlook data but not the plug ins like financial software, phatnotes etc. I have not tried them. IntelliSync and XTNDConnect PC are the main ones that I recall. I think they require an AS connection however and are not complete stand alone items (spinning wheal--got to go round). If someone is using them please correct me.

Then there are programs that will sync folder data like MobSync (free), and Mighty Sync ($15?) but you need to connect to AS for them to work and they will not sync Outlook or Plugins. You can uncheck all the services though and just use them if file syncronization is the major issue for you. I like MobSync the best. They are vary reliable.

This is generally true for me too but as I said. I have had goofy times when I have unchecked every thing and still got the "looking for changes" spinning wheal. Then again, the fact is I use several ad on programs like PhatNotes Pro, PocketQuicken, and SprintDB Pro and perhaps--even when unchecked--they may still have an effect on the system. I wish they would all just bypass active sync and make their own syncronization software like HanDBase did. Just syncing files is not practical for most business people out there. We need to syncronize our business life.
