It's saturday, i forgot that this dosent follow from the other thread i made about my active sync dosent work.
To re cap
My active sync dosent work. I have a T-mob mda and a hp 4705. Neither will sync. A while back a few folks suggested that I change USB ports, re install active sync, delete rapi.dll and ceutil.dll and re install. I did all that.
when the mda is first connected to the PC it syncs. it connects. It does it's thing. After that it runs a t-mobile customization program. At first it would not sync after doing this. Then one time I think it did sync. Then after that i restored my from from SPB back up.
Everything that was before, i started this process is back. But i cant sync.
My biggest concern was getting Resco file explorer into the phone. I hadnt found the cab install file at that point. Later i found it. I had to download it to the 4705 and then beam it to the phone. I did, it works, i am satisfied for awhile.
The next step i think is to re-install , all the programs one by one and try to sync after each one and see which one causes the problem. Which I will probably do, 4th of july weekend.
At this point I still feel that the t-mobile customization thing is a part of the problem, but the phone works pretty much like I want it to. If it bombs i can restore it.
I am looking into using resco to bluetooth files to the 4705 and if I can, I will get a blue tooth thing for my desktop and use it to move files to it.
But so far I have not been able to get the mda and the 4700 to talk bluetooth.
There are a lot of phone numbers and contacts that are in my phone that I dont have anywhere else. Until recently i was a sprite backup user. But I had a backup file get corrupted and lost some info.
So now I am a happy SPB back up user.
