I sync my Axim x51v with 2 PCs , one at work, and one at home. The two PCs have very different names, and both sync with the Axim using the correct name.

If there’s conflict at work, I want the Work PC to replace the item on the device. If there’s a conflict with the Home PC, I want the device to replace the item on the desktop machine. The ActiveSync settings in the Axim and in each of the two PCs reflect that.

I’m expecting that when I update a Task on the desktop machine at work, it’ll overwrite the Task with the same name on the device, and when I go home and sync with my desktop machine at home, I want the Task on the Home PC overwritten with the one on the device.

What happens is the opposite of what I expect – the Home PC overwrites the Axim, and the Axim overwrites the Work PC.

Am I misunderstanding the concept of “replace the item on the device” and “replace the item on the desktop”? :rolling:

So what you expect would also be what I expect.
The only time the conflict rules get used is when you have changed an item on both the device and the PC - then this rule specifies where to take the info from.

So you first sync the info with the Work PC - at this point is the task updated correctly ?????


Then you sync the info with your Home PC - and you say that the info is then changed back to as it was on home PC???
