Syncing to two computers, two different OS

Here's what I have:

x50 WM2003
Laptop w/ XP, using activesync 3.7.1
Desktop running vista

Now I am syncing only with the laptop, and I want to sync contacts and appointments to the desktop and keep both machines in sync with contacts/appointments...perhaps switching only to the desktop at some point.

So, my question, can I sync the ax to two computers with two different operating systems?

Thanks!

I am in the same boat. I have a Aximx51v using my office laptop (XP) and my home desktop (Vista). Both computers are also using FranklinCovey's PlanPlus with Pocket Informant. Prefernce for the home computer is to sync using Bluetooth. Here are the problems that I am experiening.

1) When trying to sync to the home computer the device ID of the PDA is changed and it loses the partnership with the office computer

2) Tasks functions do not sync between the home computer and the PDA (Pocket imformant is checked for syncing)

Frustrating part is that earlier this year I purchase the Axim to replace an HP when I broken the screen. The Axim came with WM5 which was not compatible with my version of PlanPlus (3.X) so I had to upgrade to the latest version that was WM5 compatible when using Pocket Informant. At about the same time I also installed Vista on the home computer. I know....too many varibles in all this. Any information on syncing with two OS would be helpful

yes this can be done - I am syncing an IPAQ 2795 (WM5) with a laptop running XP and a desktop running Vista.

Wdement, I managed recently to sync an X51v and and X30 to a Vista, an XP and a 98 at the same time. I only tried it once, it was just to get everything sorted out, but it worked without a hitch.

If anyone is experiening the problem that I discribed above, it appears that the troubles are with a compatibity issue between PPO and WMDC 6.1.

I found this at the WebIs (Pocket Informant) website: Franklin Covey Ppo 4.0 Sync Plugin For Vista Test - WebIS, Inc. Customer Forums
