ActiveSync Why has it taken so long for this category?

Exclamation "Unable to sync"--but still syncs?

For the second time in a week, I plugged my X51v into its cradle, and Activesync 4.5 (running on XP Pro SP2) said it was unable to synchronize at this time. I've tried rebooting both the PC and the X51v, but to no effect. When this happened last week, I did a hard reset, resynced, and reinstalled my software, and it seemed to be working fine.

I'd rather not keep doing that every week. And I've discovered another anomaly. Even though AS now reads 'connection error', I discovered that, when I look at AS on my X51v, it apparently IS syncing. I even changed an appointment on my desktop, and it was synced on the X51v.

Thoughts? Ideas? Prayers?
