Could not synchronize [unknown]

Any help would be appreciated.

I have an Axim x51v. I have Activesync 4.5 (Build 5096) sycnching with both my home and work PC's. Both running XP and Office 2007 with the latest updates. I only have my email set to sync with my work PC. It wont sync at all. We do not run an Exchange Server (we run POP3).

I get an error message saying "Could not synchronize E-mail. Support Code:8600010b". I've done searches and I cannot figure out why this is happening. I've tried changing what sync's within the email options of Activesync, changing to sync just today's items and just the Inbox. Nothing helps. I've also done some obvious troubleshooting steps (rebooting both the PC and the PPC, uninstalling/reinstalling Activesync) but I cannot find a fix.

Any help??

Hey Scott580:

Were you ever able to resolve your "Support Code:8600010b" problem? I have been having performance problems with my X51v for the past few months so I used my warranty to get a "new" unit from Dell (well, actually they sent a refurbished one). I plopped it into the cradle and it proceeded to try and sync up with my computer. All proceeded as expected except when the process completed and got the aforementioned error. I have also looked through my PDA and discovered that only the calendar & notes made the trip into the new unit.

Any of this sound familiar?

Thanks,

Steve

Everyone, I have a similar problem as SCOTT580 above. I sync the Outlook email, calendar, etc with my computer @ work. I also sync as a "guest" with my computer at home just to transfer files. My problem is that I also have a laptop that I use wireless at home and have tried to sync with it. Activesync appears to be trying, but eventually gives me an error message. Any suggestions as to what it might be? Since I am able to successfully sync with 2 other desktops, could it be something with my laptop? I appreciate any help.

What have you tried in regards to getting the connection to work? Have you tried a factory reset? Have you tried disabling your firewall and antivirus software to see if that makes any difference? Are you plugging your Axim directly into a USB port on your computer or are you using a USB hub? Have you tried using a different port? Have you tried using a different computer? A different cable? What about Bluetooth syncing?

I had a similar thing happen to me,it would not connect to
Activesync on my XP home machine even though it has been for
over year.
What happened was that I was goofing around and paired the
AX51v to the bluetooth dongle one nite transferring pics to the AX.
I had to delete the bluetooth pairing and soft reset.
It then sync'd first try, possible you may have that situation.

I can't get my Sony Clie to sync. I think it has something to do with the desktop app. I get a message on the clie that tells me to check the host.
