Aximsiteactivesyncicon Syncing with two computers

Hello y'all.

Just wondering if it is possible to sync my axim on two computers. I am syncing on an XP machine currently and would like to sync on my vista laptop as well. Will I encounter any problems and are there any settings or steps that I should take to ensure that complications are prevented. Read a few threads that discussed problems with partnerships when syncing with two computers.

Appreciate any feedback.

Syncing with two is no problem and AFAIK, Vista has not affected this. You can only sync email with one machine (the first partnership), but the calendar and files can be a 'three way' sync.

Sorry, AFAIK? It is probably very obvious, but it has not clicked yet.

Will it cause problems if you attempt to sync e-mail with two machines? I don't think you can sync e-mail with vista - it does not come with outlook. I'm assuming that if I want to sync my e-mail with my laptop (second partnership), I would have to delete my partnership with my desktop and set my laptop as my primary partnership.

more than one pc relationship & activesync

I tried to do this over the weekend. I have only been using my computer at home when syncing with my axim. I got the bright idea why not sync my work information vs exporting the files and sending via email to import, etc. I thought I would just sync everything at work as well since both machines are running xp. However, when I did this, it deleted everything from my work outlook calendar. I went to my deleted folder in outlook to find it all. Of course, when i put them all back, I had to do some minor tweaking. I checked the axim at this point, and it too were deleted from the calendar. After I got everything tweaked to my calendar, I re synced to my axim and everything transferred. However, that was a lot of time wasted because of the delete etc. I went home to see if the work pc information would sync to combine with my home sync, and again, same problem.

What am I doing wrong? How can I have both worlds (home pc and work pc) syncing to my axim?

syncing, doesn't erase data, it merges them.

after the sync relationship is made, then if you delete a contact on the Ax, the sync will delete the corresponding data on the PCs
