My device has worked fine. Recently it stopped synching with usb/cradle. But works using ir.

windows 2000 (desktop), sees the device, desktop activesynch turns on and attempts to connect. Meanwhile device stays idle... even forcing device side synch does not wake it up.

Another axim works using usb on the same computer and cradle.

any idea?

Thank you Julie. While the instructions on the page you gave me did not resolve the problem on its own... it gave me hints on how to do so.

None of these steps alone fixed it... it was by doing it all at the same time that it worked:

- delete the association/partnership
- soft reset the device
- delete all firewall rules for the device
- uncheck "advanced usb" management" on the device
- sit the device in the cradle
- check "advanced usd management" on the device

and voilà it worked again!
