Mad Activesyc 4.5 on Dell X50v/WM5 repeats all calendar, tasks etc.

Hi there

I upgraded my Dell X50v to WM5 a while back and everthing was ok with activesync. Now following a restore with Sprint things have got really bad.
I activesync over (slow) bluetoothe but it always syncs everything rather than any changes since last sync.

Is this a datetime issue, known bug or will I need to delete my partnership

This issue is driving me nuts

If you are truly backed up, you might try a hard reset and restore again from Sprite, but this time do not restore your pim / pocket outlook information.

Sync and see if you get all of your outlook information from the pc. That should establish a new log and subsequent changes should be handled correctly.

If you currently have different information on the pc and ppc, this won't help you.

Thanks for that. I would make that my last resort as I have a load of projects in Pocket Informant and I wouldn't want to loose the context data. Why couldn't I just recreate the partnership and wouldn't this replace the log?

I don't sync to outlook, so I have to use pdasync by laplink. they have an option to chose whether force a full sync, or copy everything from your pda to your pc or everything from you pc to your pda. The first one where you force a full sync can cause the duplicate entries. I can't find that option in activesync and that is why I am saying that forcing new partnership may still result in duplicate entries.

PsionAndy's caution is a good one, what ever you do, have a full usable backup just in case.

Another option is using something like webis toolbox or sktools to get rid of the duplicates. After they are gone, you should be able to just keep syncing from then on.
