My most reliable sync connection solution yet

I kid you not. After trying disconnecting/reconnecting; soft restarts/hard restarts; changing connection settings on my Pocket Weather and other programs, to no reliable avail....

...the most reliable way of making the sync connection is [drum roll, please....]

Slamming the unit onto the surface of my desk top with significant force, just short of shattering the Axim screen. It causes the the Axim to turn off and reboot...and then in 15 or 20 seconds after placing it back into the cradle it connects and syncs. Yes, it sounds like a less violent hard start should accomplish the same thing. But this method works more consistently than the hard restart does. This solution should be on a "sticky" on this site

Uhm, Sorry for my ignorance but are you joking. I must know because now I am thinking about trying it your way! Active sync keeps telling my it can't connect or recognize device(I can't remember which) but then it started working on its own. Now it's back to not connecting again.

Try soft-resetting the device first. Or release the battery latch. There has to be something analogous to your PDA to this action that is less likely to cause permanent damage.

Try this

connect the ax to the PC doesn't connect
open activesync on PC
Go file connection settings/click connect
You get the connections helper let it run for 5 t0 10 seconds and hit cancel
it stops and then that wonderful noise, I wouldn't know how to type it sounds, and ax goes through syncing process.

Axim a12, activesync 4.5, usb to pc option," enable advanced network functionality" unchecked.
If and when, why can't we pray?
Continually
