How to install AS without admin rights?

I just got a new PC at work and of course they've taken away my admin rights. I had Activesync on my old PC and I'd like to have it on my new one, but when I try to install I get a message saying I must be part of the administrators group.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to install ActiveSync on my PC without being a member of the Admin group? Or, failing that, is there another way to sync my calendar to my Pocket PC?

Thank you,
...al

Not likely... Best guess is to bribe an IT staffmember with doughnuts and mountain dew and get them to install it for you

I already tried bribing one of them with a package of extra-long twizzlers...Granted, I didn't bring them in, the admin did and they were sitting on her desk, but still the thought was there and the twizzlers were too.

sorry due, twizzlers suck anyway.

your choices are:
mountain dew
donuts
lunch
pizza
chips
candy (not twizzlers)

personally, lunch sounds like the best option to me.

just say something like,

"hey! you wanna come to lunch with me?" then when you get back... "so, iv got this little task that I need done and...

The smart IT guy will say "ya gotta be kidding" because they realize how much grief will be created when you have problems synching on the company system.

AS is a Microsoft product. I would think you can request to have it installed by the IT PPL. That's what I did at my company.
