X5 and X51v synchronize on same PC?

I recently fixed my Axim X5 and want to synchronize it on the same PC as my X51v that is running Windows Mobile 5.0 and ActiveSync 4.5. The problem is that the X5 is running Pocket PC 2003, and ActiveSync does not recognize it. Any ideas?

I don't have any suggestions to get it to work, unless you're trying to sync them simultaneously. That you can't do. I can tell you that I sync my x51v, x50v and a Windows CE 4.2 PNA (GPS) all on the same computer with AS 4.5, but not at the same time. AS used to recognize the different devices when I plugged them in. After I installed Kaspersky Internet Security Suite, I now have to manually select the device from the File->Mobile Device menu in AS.

This should be no problem. I have an X5 running WN 2002and an X50v running WM 2003 SE and sync them both to my desktop.

All you have to do is to give them different names in Settings\System\About\Device ID\Device Name and set up different partnerships with ActiveSync for each.

I found that my X5 would not sync with AS 4.5 but does fine with AS 4.2. I also have the X51v and can sync both with AS 4.5
