vista mobile device center

I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question. I have a computer running ms vista. I recently had to delete my axim partnership from the device center and re partner, however since my device was partnered before it keeps changing the device id and it enters a new name under device name. i sync with 2 computers, both work and home, so i need the name to stay the same to sync with work. With XP that i have at work i know exactly where to go to delete the profile. But on Vista I have no idea how to do it in vista. does anyone have any idea???

how about this:

Beyond this, I don't see the problem. I delete them individually all the time and never have to reestablish the other one

How did you get the picture of your device on the WMDC screen? That's pretty cool.

That's so cool. I just converted one of my laptops to Vista. Let's make this a sticky.

My desktop and laptop both ran XP until the laptop was stolen and its replacement came with Vista. I use Active Sync on my desktop but I would like to be able to also sync with the laptop.

Does the Windows Mobile Device Center work on both XP and Vista, or do I sync with two different programs?

Any and all help is gratefully appreciated.

You need Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista and ActiveSync for XP.

ActiveSync won't work on Vista and Windows Mobile Device Center won't work on XP.

So, yes, you sync with two different programs, but the results should be the same.
