ActiveSync / Inbox problem after Hard Reset
Last week while traveling, my X5 decided to perform a hard reset. I had a fairly recent back-up so not much was lost. My problem, however, is with my inbox. When on the road, I sync to my server via free wifi. Since restoring my device with the back-up there is a subset of e-mails (those that would have been on the back-up) that are occupying space in my in-box but are not accessible. These messages do not have the mail icon next to them. I can’t open them or delete them and they are not affected by syncing. Also, I currently have ActiveSync configured to sync to my PC when cradled. (I was not able to sync after restoring from back-up while still traveling). When I try to change the settings to sync from the server, normally it requires that it delete the items on my device. Now, I get a message “Unable to remove old data from the device. Please wait a minute and try again”. Needless to say, waiting doesn’t help. So now I am in a situation where I have old data in my inbox and can no longer remotely sync since it won’t complete the operation. New messages sync correctly while cradled. Can anyone help me straighten this out?
