Vista/Axim X51V Sync

Once you set up a Sync between Vista and an Axim X51V can you continue to use the 'old' way as well? In other words and should it be necessary, can you continue to sync between an XP-based sytem and the Axim--when you have an older XP-based desktop and newer notebook with Vista? Would be nice to smoothly choose/use either.

I do exactly that. I have Vista on my home pc and XP on my work pc and sync with both of them without any problems.

Have you had any problems with 'syncing' your files/data, etc? Can you sync your calendar and contacts for instance?
I've read a few posts that suggest there have been some difficulties in this regard---when using WMDC Version 6.1 which is designed to address WM6 issues to a degree.
My AximX51V is configured with WM 5 and AO6 so perhaps I should go with the WMDC Version 6.
What do you think/suggest?

as far as i know i am using wmdc 6.1 but unfortunately i am in the middle of a move and won't have access to my vista pc for a while. And i have ROM A12 but as far as I know it should work. there was some trick to getting it to work over BT. You can do a search on this site for the fix if you need it. Other than that the only thing i can tell you is that it is slow to make the connection on the vista machine but once connected it works just fine.

I can't get WMDC 6.1 to sync calendar, everything else is ok.
Any ideas?
