I have a iPAQ 4705 and a iPAQ 2795 both using WM5 and a new iPAQ 111 with WM6. To connect to my work Outlook server I have to VPN into a secure server with my desktop. Then I can enable the network and connect to the server. With my two WM5 devices I can sync email to and from the server with no problem but when I enable the network with the WM6 device ActiveSync 4.5 shuts down. I have also tried in on a Home Vista machine with the Windows Mobile Device Center with teh same results. When the network opens the sync with a WM6 device shuts down so I can't sync email. While with the WM5 devices I can sync email. I have no firewall enabled.
Anyone know what the difference is between how WM5 and WM6 set up a sync and why one works and the other will not?
