My active sync partially syncs

When I connect my 4705 to my windows xp media center pc using AS 4.5... sometimes it partially syncs. I syncs enough that I can get software into it but it wont sync contacts and stuff. Sometimes it dosen't do that.
I know there is a thing that you sometimes have to do with outlook, deleting personalities or something like that, which i dont remember how to do...
but is there anything else it could be?

My hx2790 will sometimes connect but not sync: I normally have to recradle the device for it to sync (normally on its third connection). I'm convinced that it is the Credant software that causes this problem in my iPAQ

I think this is fairly common across WM5 an WM6 devices, and PC side not device side. I have a fairly similair problem, and it really depends on what else I'm asking the PC to do at the same time when I connect, how many processes are running on the PC, when the PDA connects! I've been usin Task Manager awhole lot more lately, to look at memory and page file spikes when I connect the axim and high usage usually means a no sync or a connect without sync or reconnect message!
